Imagine a film.
Now, imagine that the film is about an ancient Jewish warror whose tremendous journeys are celebrated by Jewish people every year as Hanukkah. Hanukkah is a pretty big deal and even the least religiously aware people know of its existence and traditions.
Now, imagine that the film will be written by the director and writer of “Showgirls”. Sounds awful, right?
I’m not done yet.
Now, imagine that the film might star and be directed by Mel Gibson.
Yes, a Jewish warrior epic starring and directed by Mel Gibson, written by the writer of “Showgirls.”
Sounds too hilariously awful to be true? Sadly, that isn’t possible in Hollywood. Mel Gibson says that he is waiting for the script until he decides to direct but for the sake of late night comedians and blog writers everywhere: let’s hope this happens!
