The Horrors – Still Life

I love a band that isn’t afraid to change up styles.  When The Horrors released their first album, Strange House, in 2007 they played gothy, surf punk.  Primary Colours in 2009 showed off their shoegaze influences.  Now with the first single, “Still Life,” off of their upcoming release Skying, they seem to be moving in to yet another direction.  Its a slow burning, new wave synth jam a la Erasure or Depeche Mode.  Being a lover of 80’s cheese, like most of my generation, i thoroughly enjoyed it.
