The Tallest Man on Earth is Swedish singer/songwriter Kristian Mattson. He performs a kind of stripped down folk, most of the time just accompanied by his own guitar playing. Many have compared his playing style to very early, unplugged Bob Dylan. They have that similar rambling lyrical style and nasally voice. The difference is that I can listen to Mattson for more than five minutes without needing a nap. His subject matter is much less dense and more geared toward the heart-on-sleeve folkie rather than the type who are looking to start revolutions. This is “King of Spain” the standout track from his most recent release, The Wild Hunt.
