I listen to very little R&B anymore and a lot of it really has to do with how little todays artists lack the drive to be real artists. All too often the singers fall back on the same old over-descriptive, sexual platitudes in lieu of actually saying anything with any kind of deeper meaning or feeling. This is why, when I need to hear some real rhythm and blues, I have to go back a few decades. Young singers take notice. This is what a real artist sounds like.
Thanks to Aquarium Drunkard for the heads up.
